6 Strategies To Make Your Resolve Stronger


Doing the right exercises and eating the right foods is not enough to get in the best shape possible. You also have to focus on the mental aspect here.

Unfortunately, most people neglect the psychological component and focus on diet and exercise alone.


So here is how to increase your chances of getting in shape:

1. Make specificity your best friend:

The more specific your goals the better off you will be. It’s very common for people to want to get in shape for better health. Unfortunately, this is too vague. You are far better off digging deeper and getting to the root cause of your motivation.

2. Have a measurement system:

In the absence of measurement it will be very difficult to assess your progress. Now keep in mind that it’s human nature to overlook progress over long periods of time. So keep track of what you are doing.

3. Don’t self flagellate:

Self flagellation is a common activation technique people use to get going. The problem here is that over the long run self flagellation will lead to burnout. It’s quite the paradox. Instead, use positive imagery to move yourself forward.

4. Set time limits on everything: 

The more time limits you have the better off you will be in terms of being able to take action. After all, without deadlines most of your goals will never get accomplished. You need some sort of temporal pressure to really get things rolling.

5. Manage your steps:

 Taking baby steps isn’t always the best strategy. The only time you should reduce how much you are doing is when you feel chronically overwhelmed. So pay attention here and take as much action as possible while remaining healthy.

6. Expect setbacks:

Although counterintuitive, the highest performers have the highest rates of setbacks. You see, the more you set out to achieve the more you are going to fail. So expect setbacks and don’t let them derail you.

Increasing your mental fortitude while trying to get in shape is the best thing you can do to increase your chances of success. So take heed of this advice right now!
