Ways To Obtain Good Treatment Against Scabies With Scabies Lotion

Is it possible to treat scabies? Many people ask that question and the answer is a definite yes. A doctor will quickly make a diagnosis and can prescribe a good scabies lotion for you. This lotion will help to alleviate the itch and kill off the eggs and mites, which are the main cause of your rash.

Exactly what is scabies, you might ask?

A small mite (bug) that is about 1/3 millimeters long causes this condition. It burrows into the skin where it feeds on blood and then multiplies. Because it is an extreme irritant to the body, you will show symptoms of itching and swelling around the infested areas, usually with small pimple-like rashes which can spread quickly if the infestation is not stunted quickly. The mites are more active at night, because that is when you usually settle down and relax hence you tend to feel the itching more at night. You will scratch the infected areas and spread it to other parts of your body.

How does the scabies rash spread from person to person?

It takes direct contact, usually skin-to-skin, for the mite to spread to another host. Sometimes it happens with a handshake or hugging. It can also spread by means of sexual contact. It is highly unlikely for the scabies mite to jump from undergarments or bedclothes to another person’s skin.

The following symptoms are common in most infected persons:

You will have intense itching on parts of your body for instance your elbows, wrists, genitalia, buttocks, waist, thighs, the sides of your fingers and the webs between your fingers. Some children will show signs of itching on their heads, neck, feet and hands. Once the scabies mite has entered the body, it usually takes two to three weeks for the itching to start. It can only take one to five days if a re-infestation takes place.

Of course, a great worry for some people are is if scabies can be transmitted from pets to humans. The answer is no. The kind living on pets are different scabies mites and cannot exist on humans hosts.

This condition is common, but fortunately it is treatable with a great scabies lotion. These lotions are medicinal and will alleviate your itch and kill off the mites and their eggs within a few days. Ask those close to you to apply the lotion on their bodies as well. Remember to wash your bedding with hot water. It also helps to air your room often.

If you suspect that you have scabies the best thing to do would be to talk to your GP, but you may want to get a scabies lotion like Permethrin cream.
